Né le 08 décembre 1936
David Carradine, né le 8 décembre 1936 à Hollywood et mort le 3 juin 2009 à Bangkok[1], est un acteur, réalisateur, scénariste et compositeur américain. Il est apparu dans plus de cent films et a été nommé quatre fois aux Golden Globe Awards. Il est principalement connu pour ses rôles dans la série Kung Fu dans les années 1970, et dans Kill Bill de Quentin Tarantino.
David Carradine est le fils de l'acteur John Carradine et le demi-frère de l'acteur Keith Carradine et de Robert Carradine.
Il se maria à cinq reprises : avec Donna Lee Becht de 1960 à 1968, avec Linda Gilbert de 1977 à 1983, avec Gail Jensen en 1988, avec Marina Anderson de 1998 à 2001 et enfin avec Annie Bierman en 2004 [2]. Il a eu deux enfants[3]
Il est mort dans la nuit du 3 au 4 juin 2009, à l'âge de 72 ans, à Bangkok en Thailande, alors qu'il participait au tournage du film Stretch du réalisateur français Charles de Meaux[1]. Il aurait été retrouvé mort dans sa chambre de l'hôtel Nai Lert Park avec une corde autour du cou. Après avoir suggéré un suicide, les derniers éléments font apparaître une mort accidentelle due à un jeu sexuel qui aurait mal tourné [4].
Il a joué dans la série Kung Fu et sa suite Kung Fu, la légende continue, et interprété le rôle de Bill dans Kill Bill. Il apparaît dans le clip Burning Up des Jonas Brothers. Il a aussi joué le rôle de Tempus dans la série Charmed (épisode 22 de la première saison : Une journée sans fin).
